Hola!
The past couple days have been busy! On Sunday, we went to a market were you can get almost everything such as clothes, decorations for homes, shoes, and trinkets that extends for miles, upon miles, upon miles! I am not sure we even saw half of what was there! However, it was amazing the kind of set-up it was in, and how close together everyone was. We had to be extra careful!
Today is a new week of school, and is the last week of our theory classes! In fact, our finals are on Friday!! Today, as always, we learned so much information, but I learned about El Botiquin or the Safety Kit. We know as nurses what these items are in English, but learning their Spanish names was rather challenging! We learned the words for all the items in the kit such as the la jeringa (syringe) and el unguento (skin cremes-antibiotics, anaglesics etc). Our teacher tested our knowledge of these new items, by offering to the groups who got the answers right an extra point to our final exam. I was very proud of myself that I was able to name most of the items with my partner and got the extra points! I was very happy when everyone else also names all the items, so we all got extra points for the final!! I have also been complimented on my accent which I was surprised sounded well, which made me feel good! Hopefully I can keep this up and continue to do well!
I just have one picture today with our mastrea (teacher) with the el botiquin! Gracias mi amigos y hasta luego!!
